Entries must be submitted online


CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: MONDAY 16 JANUARY 2017 (5pm)


The shortlisted nominees in each category will be showcased in First time Buyer magazine, February/March and April/May editions and also on the First Time Buyer Awards website.

Voting will take place online. All shortlisted nominations will be available to view online from 10th February 2017 and readers can vote using the online form. These votes will then be used to find the top submissions in each category giving us our winners.

No employees or agencies of participating organisations are allowed to vote. Random checks of IP addresses will be carried out to ensure that the voting system is not abused.

THE COSTS

Early bird entry cost: £295 + VAT per entry
Full priced entry cost: £350 + VAT per entry

Payments can be made either by cheque or BACS (pro forma invoices can be raised where necessary). Cheques should be made payable to Ultimate Guide Company.

An invoice will be raised on submission of entries. All payments must be made by Tuesday 20 January 2017.

Any entries not paid for by the judging day on 23 January 2017 will be removed from the awards.

General submission criteria applicable to all categories

Entry forms must be completed in full and the submission criteria must be strictly adhered to.

We require entries in electronic format these must be uploaded on to this site using the online facility. This will ensure we are able to upload information to the FTB Awards website which allows the readers to vote online. No printed copies of the submission are required.

Specific criteria are available for all categories in the submission pack

GENERAL SUBMISSION CRITERIA APPLICABLE TO ALL CATEGORIES

  • Minimum 200 words and maximum 700 word description of your entry for the judges
  • 150 word description of your entry (for use in the magazine, online and awards programme)
  • Up to four high resolution images
  • One image must be highlighted for use in the magazine and online
  • A vectored company logo (eps, ai file)

SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES

  • BEST SMALL DEVELOPMENT
  • BEST LARGE DEVELOPMENT
  • BEST FIRST TIME BUYER FAMILY HOME (new category)
  • BEST FIRST TIME BUYER APARTMENT (new category)
  • MOST INNOVATIVE REDEVELOPMENT OF AN EXISTING PROPERTY
    – Development must have started on the project by date of entry submission and CGI images must show adequate evidence of the finished development.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR BEST PROPERTY SUPPLEMENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

In addition to the above;

  •  Submit four articles featured over the last year that are designed to help first time buyers on to the property ladder
  • Submit one front cover or web page, which has been designed especially with first time buyers in mind

SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR BEST PROPERTY PORTAL AWARD ONLY

In addition to the above;

  • Submit four web pages over the last year that showcase features to help first time buyer

SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR BEST NEW DEVELOPMENT IN THE SOUTH AWARD

This brand-new award category for 2017 is for the best development of any size in the South of England (for the purposes of thiscategory – below Birmingham). A highly competitive market place where the construction of new homes is increasing, this award recognises an exceptional range of new homes that stands out from the crowd whilst remaining accessible to first time buyers.
Judges will be looking at:

  • Overall design and layout of new homes
  • Availability of new homes to the first time buyer market (relevant schemes, affordability etc.)
  • The developments relationship with the existing community and neighbourhoods
  • Transport links, ease of access and commutability

SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR BEST NEW DEVELOPMENT IN THE NORTH AWARD

This brand-new award category for 2017 is for the best development of any size in the North of England (for the purposes of this
category – Birmingham and above). An area of the country where housebuilding is increasing and offers a highly competitive market
place, this award recognises an exceptional range of new homes that stands out from the crowd whilst remaining accessible to first time buyers. Judges will be looking at:

  • Overall design and layout of new homes
  • Availability of new homes to the first time buyer market (relevant schemes, affordability etc.)
  • The developments relationship with the existing community and neighbourhoods
  • Transport links, ease of access and commutability
