Mark Bastin, Director, Mark Bastin Associates
Mark has worked in property marketing for the past 30 years, starting his career in group marketing in the late 1980s with Bellway PLC. Following a three year stint client-side Mark became a founder partner in property marketing agency BDW, a role he held for six years before founding his own agency, Msquared, in 2000.
In 2006 Mark sold his business to Adventis, a marketing agency part owned by Savills, where he held the post as Managing Director until 2012. Since then Mark has worked as a partner in two other agencies – BE Creative and PJP Marketing – before striking out as an independent consultant in 2017. Mark now works for a variety of clients and specialises in marketing for the UK retirement property sector.
Chris Browne, Director of Property, Address Intelligence
Chris joined Address Intelligence as The Director of Property and is responsible for driving data sales through Estate Agency, New Homes developers and housing associations. Previously Chris worked in residential estate agency for 14 years with several high profile companies including Romans and Carson & Company before moving across to work in the New Homes sector. Following senior appointments with several New Homes developers, Chris started working as a Sales Director for smartnewhomes.com (now owned by ZPG) and more recently started up the New Homes division for Zoopla.
Marilyn DiCara, Independent Housing Consultant
One of our sector’s most passionate advocates for shared ownership and first time buyers, Marilyn’s involvement in low cost home ownership spans 23 years. Her early background heading up corporate communications at housing association, Moat, developed her further to lead Moat’s sales and marketing teams delivering shared ownership and equity loans to thousands of first time buyers. Marilyn was a member of the National Housing Federation’s Home Ownership Advisory Panel (HOAP) and a founder member of the National Housing Group (NHG). More recently, Marilyn led a team at housing association, Clarion, appraising new scheme opportunities and delivering Clarion’s growing pipeline of new build shared ownership sales. She is the National Housing Awards’ Affordable Home Ownership Champion for 2019-20. Marilyn is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Chris Jones | Managing Partner, Space and Time
Chris has nearly 10 years’ marketing experience working with the UK’s top property developers and estate agents, starting at Space & Time Media in the midst of the 2008 recession. He later joined Adgenda Media International in early 2012. He spent 3 years working with UK and overseas developers before returning and becoming a partner in Space & Time Media, where he currently works with clients and ambitious marketeers to shape and future proof their marketing strategy.
Stephen Harker, Managing Partner and Head of Property Department, Dawson Cornwell
Stephen qualified as a solicitor in 1987. He had worked mostly in the field of property, before joining Dawson Cornwell in 1993. He became a partner in 1995 and is now Managing Partner of the firm. Dawson Cornwell is one of the UK’s leading specialist family law firms and is accredited by the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme. Based in London, the firm acts for clients across the UK and internationally, who are embarking on divorce, separation, or dissolution of a civil partnership. The firm advises on all areas of family and children’s law, including the creation of alternative family structures. It also has a specialist children’s department, with specific expertise in all aspects of international children’s law. The firm is consistently recommended by Chambers and the Legal 500, the two main legal directories.
Unlike other niche family law practices, Dawson Cornwell also advises on buying and selling properties and on wills and planning family finances. Stephen is the head of the firm’s Property Department and advises on commercial and residential work of all kinds, with a particular interest in property development. He is the author of Matrimonial Conveyancing, published by Sweet & Maxwell.
Tony Harker, Director and Independent Housing Consultant
Tony is a Sales and Marketing professional with over 15 years property experience. He worked for Barratt Homes before moving into the affordable homes market working for regional and national Housing Associations. He was a Sales and Marketing Director for over 5 years running the sales and marketing function including market analysis and research, quality management, aftercare and customer service and leasehold services. He has also been responsible for commercial sales and lettings and PRS. He now has his own business Tony Harker Consultancy Ltd and is an Associate with Cast Consultants. He is also a non-executive Director of a Housing Association in Cheshire.
He is very well known in the affordable homes industry for his forward-thinking customer focused solutions and has a reputation for creating strong motivated teams with career development opportunities. He has also appeared on TV and Radio on property matters and is a regular contributor to First Time Buyer magazine.
Marcus Wilshere, London Masterplanning Lead, IBI Group
Marcus Wilshere is an architect specialising in creating liveable neighbourhoods. He has been at the forefront of changing the way we plan and build towns and cities. As a leading figure in the UK’s urban design movement, his approach requires thinking beyond the individual building to consider how the whole place works.
His work with local communities has resulted in places that work for the people that live there, making them popular, safe and well cared for.
